After carefully reviewing all beat submissions, we will pre-select the top 128 producers, who will be announced on July 17th.
On July 20th & 21st, we will conduct screening sessions of the top 128 producers, to narrow down and determine the top 64 Producers, who will compete at the Preliminaries Battles!
All beat submissions will be judged by a panel of five to ten anonymous music industry professionals.
These screening sessions will be made available on our YouTube channel: Battle of the Beat Makers TV.
On July 22nd, we will announce the top 64 producers and 11 reserves, in case any of the 64 cannot take part in the preliminaries or are not present on the first day of the competition
The top 64 producers and reserves are widely responsible for their travel to and stay in Toronto for the events taking place on August 29th – 31st, 2019.
All submitted beats must be in MP3 audio format and should be no longer than 60 seconds in length for each submitted track. There is a 10mb (megabyte) limit for each track. Once your tracks have been submitted you can not change them
The Top 64 Producers who make it to the preliminaries battle need to bring 5 beats (each 45 seconds in length). In the event that judges request a rematch, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
The Top 32 Producers who make it to the Main Event battle need to bring 15 beats (each 45 seconds in length). In the event that judges request a rematch, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
PRODUCERS UNDER THE AGE OF 19 YEARS OLD who qualify for the competition must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver for their participation. A parent or legal guardian must also be present during the competition to accompany the minor. Waiver forms will be emailed on August 5th, 2019, to the producers listed email address. The signed waiver form can be emailed back or handed in at the event prior to the start of the competitions start time. Failure to present a signed waiver form will result in the producer(s) losing their qualifying or reserve spot in the competition.
